one place is reportedly SpiritCity in SecondLife, that has e.g. Bayt al-Hikmah (The House of Wisdom) (as reported in http://eurekadejavu.blogspot.com/2008/02/house-of-wisdom.html) "The caretaker of this house invites all to come freely and discuss faith, practice, mysticism, spiritual development, remembrance of God, and all things related to Islam and other religions."

as a part of anProgramming, i've studied some Buddhist theories as posing challenges for implementations. in some parts there the systematic approach encourages that play, e.g. DependentOrigination.
